Meet Jason
Jason is an Emmy nominated broadcast veteran who's traveled the world to cover everything from the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, to the earthquake in Haiti. He left the news business to follow his true life passion for gemstones and precious metals.
Jason is Diamond Council of America colored gemstone certified and has a love for rock hounding. His fascination with gemstones began when he received a rock tumbler for Christmas as a child. He has spent many vacations with his wife looking for rubies and sapphires in the mountains of North Carolina and Georgia, and many weekends panning for gold in the Appalachian foothills with his rescue dog Pepper.
Jason says he feels like the luckiest person in the world to be a part of the GSN family. He loves the feeling he gets when he's able to help someone find that perfect piece of jewelry that's as individual and unique as the person buying it.
When Jason's not digging up the ground looking for buried treasure, he also enjoys cooking, traveling and spending time with his wife, son, rescue dog, and the most recent addition to the family: his miniature pig.

JASON'S FAVORITE GEMSTONE
Opal. "It’s a unique, one-of-a-kind gemstone, just like we are as individuals. Everybody knows their opal when they see it.”
